After more than a year, an end to the COVID-19 pandemic seems to be finally in sight. And while this is great news, going back to normal comes with its own set of challenges.
Take It One Step at a Time
Going back to your old routine can seem daunting at first, so make sure to take things one step at a time. Start small, this will give you a sense of control which in turn will relieve your anxiety. Here are some simple things you can do:
- Prepare your wardrobe
- Check your agenda or daily planner
- Gather the things you will need, such as office supplies, cell phone charger, etc.
Pay Attention to Your Sleep Patterns
We all know that sleep is important to stay efficient and productive. However, we tend to overlook this aspect, especially when our stress levels are high. Pay attention to your sleep habits, and try to start going to bed at the hour you will have to do it when you go back to the office. This will make the transition a lot easier.
Focus on the Positive
Focusing on the positive aspects of going back to normal is a great way to quell your anxiety. Think back of all the enjoyable things you used to do before the pandemic, and make plans to experience them again. Before you know it, you will be looking forward to going back to the “old normal”!
