Marlenee Blas Pedral is a Career Counselor at University of California Riverside who helps individuals explore career paths and identify the steps needed to achieve their dream career. Working with employers and community partners, Marlenee knows about the importance of connecting and empowering students to become the most career-ready talent in the global workforce. Marlenee, a previous Fulbright Scholar in Brazil, presenter at various organizations including MPACE (Mountain Pacific Association for Colleges and Employers) was recently awarded the “People Helping People Award” for her outstanding service and contribution to the UCR community by the Chancellor. As an educator and career coach, Marlenee is dedicated to supporting first-generation college students attain academic and career success. Marlenee obtained her master’s degree from the University of Vermont in Higher Education and Student Affairs and her bachelor’s degree in Global Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara.
